The KB Home Design Studio is an interactive showroom where you can see and touch the various design elements in action. I want to share my experience at the KB Home Design Studio for a couple of reasons. I’m excited to share more of my life at home in Florida, and to connect over more than just travel. More importantly, I want to help other prospective buyers understand what the design sessions entail. Aside from a couple news stories and posts from the official KB Home blog, there is a surprising lack of detailed information available online on what to expect and how to make the most of the design process. It’s what I watch at the gym, on lazy Saturday mornings, and when I need to veg after a tough day at work.

We did, however, come up with a design plan that suits both our tastes and our budget. We spent most of our upgrade budget on structural upgrades. We selected things that would add to our enjoyment of the home, like a covered patio for hot summer days, or a separate soaking tub in the master bath for some post-Disney relaxation.
